Special Needs Trust (donations)

Jack has a Special Needs Trust.  Mostly so that if something happens to me and Jonathan then Jack will be taken care of and still be eligible for medicaid.

That being said, many people have asked if there is a way to donate to his medical costs, and this is it.  All of the money in the account will go toward his current and future medical expenses.  Because he has TSC, there will always be expenses.

Yes, we have private insurance and he is on medicaid, (we complain about what a pain they are to deal with, but we are also so lucky and grateful to have them) but there always seem to still be expenses.  For example, medicaid covers epilepsy surgery, but not the tests to determine if surgery can be done.  Don't even get me started on that one!  And we still have a pile of bills from before he finally did get onto medicaid.

To make a donation to his trust, click on the "donations" tab to the right on the home page of the blog.  You can also send a check to the bank and make it out to "The Special Needs Trust of Jack Kubala".  The address is:
Austin Telco Federal Credit Union
8929 Shoal Creek Blvd
Austin, TX 78757

We are not asking for donations or seeking them out, but they are of course welcome and greatly appreciated and do help us out tremendously.  If you would like to donate to the cause of fighting TSC you can donate at www.tsalliance.org  They do research that can help autism, epilepsy, and cancer.

There is also the Epilepsy Foundation of Central and South Texas.  They help people locally with medical expenses, help them get equipment, and spread awareness.
